Loving It More and More

Afton, I don't know what I can do for the weird candy, but I'll see what I can find. This week was not very uneventful for me, just the opposite. Maybe you just need to do more.

Kirkham, that's what they always say, but when people don't hit that, they end up pulling the fastest up. I think you can do it, you just got to push through and keep trying. Good luck on those toes. Remember that bandaging I found the once which was very waterproof, and flexible? you should get some of that, you'll love it for practices and the likes.

Cora, you may be out of black ink, while here, all we have is black ink. That's just a church thing though, not a Canadian thing. here's something for you: ( I thought you might like it)

Mom, This week has been a very good week. We got four new investigators from 2 lessons. And we have a few potentials that we'll be keeping up with. It's so nice to be able to see the effort paying off, and actually having people listen to us, and actually be interested in what we're teaching.
This week is actually going to be a bit crazy as well. We're having a blitz week here's more details for you.

It is going to be a fun and hard week, but it'll be worth it.
Also, I'm not sure how well the Christmas package will be if it's shipped to the office. By that, I mean that I have no idea if I'll get it from them before Christmas. If you've shipped already, I'm sure it'll be fine, but if you haven't, try to send it to
105 Darius Wile Rd.
Wileville, Nova Scotia, Canada

We live at a members place, so It'll be fine.
So like I said, we've been doing great, I can definitely tell that my testimony is growing, and I'm loving my mission more and more. I have been feeling more so recently that I am definitely helping to build the kingdom. It's a really good feeling of confidence, and increased faith and dedication, and it's just great. We do get to go to the temple every now and then, though at times I wish that we could go more often. We are having another conference on December 17th, which will be a day full of activities. We actually had one this past week, but the next one will be a follow-up to this Blitz week, as well as a Christmas thing for us. It'll be fun

I almost forgot, this week we were also in a parade. It was fun, and we got to talk to a lot of people. There were at least 2 thousand people watching, but it was nice. For the Ward's float they did a nativity scene with real sheep and chickens. They hope the for next year they can get some cattle as well. Overall, it's been a pretty fun week.
That's all I have for now. Have a great week!

Service

For Canada day, all we did was service all day, and that's how most of this week went. Service has been good though, I think it's one of the ways that my companion and I are going to get into better shape. Thanks for the recipes. We have a crock-pot that my companion has been experimenting with. He just kind of throws stuff in and lets it sit for a while, and it usually turns out pretty good. I did not get my package unfortunately, but I know i'll get it probably around transfers which is around 10 days away. I'm looking forward to it though. and the mission office is actually recommending that we get stuff sent to the apartment now, so here's our address:
102 Kaulbackst. Apt. 4 Truro, NS B2N 3M6.
I think I already found out that I have a new cousin. I don't remember how I found out though. That's pretty exciting though. Another cousin to meet!
Thank you for the recipes, they will be put to good use, and i'll keep you updated on how they turn out. Not a lot has been happening again. The only thing that we got key indicator wise this week was several Recent Convert and Less active visits. I'll keep trying all that I can to do my best though! Thank you for the support!

Love you, Elder Dooley

Check the Mail

Well, it sounds like you all had a very busy week. I found a typewriter this past week, and used it to write my letter home for this week. Look for it in the mail, it will also include my mother's day talk, and some Canadian money, which should not be used, especially the pennies because they're hard to find now. Check the mail, and It should get to you soon. Also, I've been getting artsy with taking some photos, so there are some good ones which will be in the shared folder. Have a great week, Love you!!

Mother's Day Video Call With Elder Dooley

We enjoyed a great visit with Elder Dooley this morning. It was 9am our time and about 4pm his. He called from a member's home in his area. His companion visited with his family in Utah first and then it was Elder Dooley's turn.

We got to talk for about an hour. We updated him on everything that's been going on here at home and he told us about the mission, his work, the people, the weather. We enjoyed seeing him and knowing that he is doing well. Looking forward to his letter tomorrow too.

He did warn us that the most recent address he sent is no good for receiving mail. Do not send mail to that last address! He will be getting a PO Box this week.

Down a Dirt Road

Cora, Thank you for the quotes, i'll definitely remember those ones. And cool Idea for your own business. Maybe You can send some of those cookies to me?

Afton, I've been looking for that scripture for some time. now can you find the one about the man with the blue beard? It's great to hear how Water polo is going for you. Just remember to always give it your all, and you will do well. You can always push yourself harder, and I know that you will continue to do great!

yo K-Dog, my Brother from the same mother, Paint balling is fun, maybe if i'm lucky i'll get to do it sometime. I heard that you have an APUSH test coming up. Remember to set apart enough time to study, and to work with other people to memorize stuff. It will definitely help. APUSH was my only serious class my senior year. Good job for doing it sooner than me. Work Hard!

Here is the new apartment Address: Hope fully you didn't send anything recently, because if you did and it ends up at the old place, it will be really hard to track down

This week was a pretty good one. Nothing to crazy, but we did put someone on date for May 30th. She's wanted to get baptized for a while but her parents haven't really let her. I know that they'll let her get baptized though. Hampton has been a great place to serve with Great people, and I am loving it. The members always feed us, I need to figure out how to stop gaining weight from being so well fed, Lots of help when we were moving, and people gave us food, and we helped out at a service project, and they gave us all the extra food, (around 30 sandwiches). It's been a very well fed week. We did one thing a bit different this week; we went down a dirt road. This isn't abnormal by any means, but it was especially different. It was different because half way up the road, it sort of turned into an off-road trail with lots of mud and bumps. In any other vehicle than ours, we would've been fine, but we're in a 2013 Chevy Cruze, which as you can probably guess is terrible for anything that isn't straight Asphalt. MY companion didn't know how to drive in it, so he had me drive, but I didn't really know much, other than to try to stay out of the ruts, and to just keep on going. The car made it through with very little damage, ( a light popped out on the front bumper which we just popped back in), and it is covered in mud. It was kind of fun especially because there were a few other trucks on the road that must've been thinking what are these guys in suits in a Chevy Cruze thinking Driving down this road? And they are right, what were we thinking. It was fun though, other than having to turn around 5 km down the road because it was blocked by snow which we could've gone through if we were in any other vehicle. This all happened because we followed the GPS, down a dirt road after almost all the snow had melted. Also, last week P-day, after emailing, my companion backed into another car, that was parked, in the sun. All he had to do was go straight, and for some reason he turned. It was an experience that we laughed off later on, and we still don't have any real idea of what happened. That's this past week, and I've been tired, and that's about it. It's been a great time so far, and hopefully it continues this way! I love hearing how everyone is doing, and it's great to hear the family goals. Have a good week, and keep on keeping on!
love,
Elder Dooley

Everything is Awesome

All has been good in the Maritime! I'm in Hampton, New Brunswick and everything is awesome. The ward is great, and the weather is a blazing - 24 degrees celsius, below - 10, and it doesn't really matter-- it all feels the same. I'm getting plenty of food, with a diner appointment almost every day. We currently don't have any investigators, but we've been trying to  get some. First door I knocked on we got in though and that was pretty cool. I'm loving it here and just to let you all know: the snow is at least 4 feet deep in places! One of the people in the ward here is actually in Hawaii right now and I think they're going to try to swing by Dad's office and let him know what it's like here. It's either the Greens, or the Pattisons. One of the 2. Anyways, I'm going to post pictures to facebook so that you all can see them. Our address currently is:

112 St. Paul St.,
Hampton, New Brunswick
E5N 5R1,Canada

It might get confusing so only send stuff as a last resort through mail.
Love you all,

Elder Dooley
